This pressed flower dish craft has been in my head for ages and I’m so glad to see that it came out just as beautifully as I imagined. While I absolutely love making pressed flower crafts, typically I don’t work with resin, but I’ve found that this is a really easy way to use resin without all the mess. As with any resin projects make sure to read and follow any safety precautions listed on the resin.

Instructions for Making Pressed Flower Dish
Step 1. Start by spreading out your pressed flowers so you can clearly see all of your color options. Sometimes I like to quickly test out some color palettes on my plate to get an idea of what I want my color layout to look like.

Step 2. Next, using a paintbrush, add a small amount of Mod Podge to one section of the heart dish.

Step 3. Begin to add each pressed flower one at a time.

Step 4. Once you have a small area covered, add some more Mod Podge on top of the flowers.

Step 5. Cover the entire dish with flowers until you are satisfied with the finished layout. Try not to overlap the flowers too much as you want to keep the flower layer from getting too thick.

Step 6. Add any sticker embellishments.

Step 7. Cover the flowers with a thin layer of UV resin.

Step 8. Use a toothpick to help spread and smooth the resin and pop any air bubbles.

Step 9. Put your dish under a UV light and cure until your resin hardens. For my resin I cured for 60 seconds, two times. NOTE: You may be able to cure UV resin outside in the sun but I’m unsure how long or how well it will work.

Conclusion
Hope you are excited to try this pressed flower craft! You can change it up by using different shaped dishes or trying this same technique on other surfaces. This is a great craft that can be done in a group setting at the birthday party, craft party or Valentine’s Day / Galentine’s Day Party.
