What are the Best Tools to Use for Coloring?

The type of coloring tool you use for these coloring pages depends on your personal preferences. I personally love using colored pencils when coloring fun pages. I use Prismacolor pencils. Kids may do better using crayons, while adults prefer colored pencils. Print off several copies to let little kids color several versions and to have extra if you make mistakes.

Another fantastic coloring tool are Alcohol Markers. They color very nicely and blend well. I don’t recommend these with small children, but if you enjoy coloring yourself they are so satisfying to use and also a hit among older children (ages 10+).

When choosing your paper to print on, I recommend using cardstock because it provides a thick and smooth surface for all mediums. Whether you are using crayons, colored pencils, or alcohol markers, the colored won’t blend or soak through the paper like they might with regular paper.
