I came up with this craft after I was having trouble remembering to take my vitamins. Once I added some bling to my pill box, the shiny rhinestone pill case couldn’t be missed. The sparkle now catches my eye morning and I’m reminded to take my vitamins.

There are many different ways you could rhinestone a pill box but I’m sharing my favorite along with tips and techniques for using rhinestones and getting them to adhere long term!

How to Rhinestone a Pill Container – Step by Step

Step 1. Before you begin glueing, start by prepping the pill case and removing the days of the week. Kill two birds with one stone by using a nail file to remove the days as well as roughen up the top pf the pill box. A rougher surface makes it better for keeping rhinestones adhered.

Step 2. Next, add a line of rhinestone glue to the top of the first container on the pill case. Try not to add too thick of a glue line as only a small amount is required to keep the rhinestones in place.

Step 3. Before the glue dries you can adjust the rhinestones as needed as you work your way across the first container area.

Step 4. Continue to add rhinestones with corresponding colors to the appropriate containers. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours.

Step 5. Finally, once dry, gently wipe the container with a soft, dry cloth to remove any excess debris or glue.

Takeaway

There are many different ways you can customize your rhinestone pill box. If you want to be sure to have the days of the week included you could rhinestone the first letter of each day to help keep track. You can also use a clear pill box and select whichever rhinestone colors you desire.

With a pill case covered in rhinestones, you’ll be less likely to forget your vitamins or medication as the rhinestones are sure to catch your eye each day.
