DIY Cracked Gems & Stones Jewelry This Rocks!

I tend to collect craft supplies and often forget exactly what I have. When I recently came across a bunch of flat backed clear glass stones so I thought it would be fun to turn them into something that could be used for jewelry or other craft projects.

Supplies!

– Clear, flat backed glass gems size large and size small. – Nail polish  – Baking sheet – Bowl for ice water – Necklace cord (optional) – Pendant hanger (optional) – Ring blanks for jewelry making (optional) – E6000 glue (optional) (clickable links in the swipe up!)

Step 1

A few minutes before the gems are done baking, put some water and ice in a bowl.

Place glass gems on a baking sheet and put into the oven, heated to 425 degrees, for 20 minutes.

On the flat side of the cracked stones, paint with nail polish.

As soon as the stones are done baking put them into the ice water. The gems will crack immediately
